I have just completed a Degree in English Language and Literature at the University of Sheffield in which I graduated with a first class honours. Prior to this I achieved 'A' grades in both English literature and English language A levels.
Experience
In the future, I am interested in training to become an English teacher at secondary level. To this end, I completed two weeks work experience in a secondary school in Halifax. Whilst at university, I volunteered for a homework scheme in which students helped secondary age students complete their homework after school, which involved a large element of tutoring . At university I was also involved in a scheme in which third year students mentored incoming students on both an academic and pastoral level.
